The Marshall Scholarship program annually receives over 1,000 applications from top students representing higher education institutions across the United States. Around 40 scholars are selected each year. Visit the Marshall Scholarship website to learn more.

Two from MIT named 2024 Marshall Scholars

Anushree Chaudhuri and Rupert Li have won Marshall Scholarships, a prestigious British government-funded fellowship that offers exceptional American students the opportunity to pursue several years of graduate study in any field at any university in the United Kingdom. Up to 50 scholarships are awarded each year by the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission.

Two from MIT named 2023 Marshall Scholars

MIT senior Rachel Chae and alumnus Sihao Huang ’22 have been selected to join the 2023 class of Marshall Scholars and will begin graduate studies in the U.K. next fall. Funded by the British government, the Marshall Scholarship provides up to 50 scholarships for exceptional American students to pursue advanced study in any field at any university in the U.K.

David Li wins 2022 Marshall Scholarship

David Li, from Woodbury, Minnesota, has been selected as a Marshall Scholar and will commence graduate studies in the UK next fall. Funded by the British government, the Marshall Scholarship provides exceptional American students with the opportunity to pursue two years of advanced study in any field at any university in the U.K.

Two MIT seniors named 2021 Marshall Scholars

Katherine “Katie” Collins and Marla Evelyn Odell have been awarded Marshall Scholarships and will begin graduate studies in the United Kingdom. next fall. The MIT seniors were selected through a rigorous national process that evaluates applicants on the basis of academic merit, leadership, and ambassadorial potential.
