Self-service resources to access MIT data

Institutional Research facilitates the collection and use of data. Use the following tools that Institutional Research maintains to explore connections between faculty, document your professional record, or look up what we’ve asked in past surveys.

Faculty Research Collaboration Tool

A public data visualization tool showing research collaborations among MIT’s faculty and senior researchers. Explore the disciplinary and interdisciplinary research networks at MIT by topic, department, or person.

Electronic Professional Record (ePR)

A repository where faculty members can compile information about their professional activities, including research, teaching, mentorship, and service. (Log-in required.)

Survey Question Search Tool

A public searchable database of questions asked in Institutional Research surveys. Search by keyword, survey name, question type, or date range.

Surveys administered by other MIT units and external organizations are not included.
